3 things I like..

Caroline's floral creations
I have already talked about Caroline's beautiful photos here. Her blog is one of my favourites, I find it so inspiring and refreshing, and I am just in awe of her creativivity and photographic skills.

Caroline Briel's postcards
I have a couple stuck on my fridge but I want them all!
Her blog is another feast for the eye..

Present & Correct

Giveaway time!

I love a good giveaway - well, who doesn't!? And I love organising as much as I love winning.
I was looking for an excuse to do one and then I thought, well, I don't need an excuse! So after my surprise box, I'm giving you the chance to win another little surprise package, with again, things that I like and that I'd like to share.

Just leave a comment and the winner will be drawn at the end of next week. Good luck!

Production line

Since the last craft night with my friends and since we decided to have a stall together at Christmas, I've been a lot more productive than I'd been in a loooong time!! I love seeing those little faces come to life!

Book swap

A little while ago, I saw The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society on Aprilfourteenth. I promptly ordered and read it. After seeing it there and here, Betsy was very keen to read it so I sent it to her, with my name, city and the date written at the back of the front cover, suggesting she might like to do the same once she's finished with it and send it on to someone else for them to enjoy. She then mentioned the idea of a book swap and I thought that was a lovely idea..

Usually I tend to keep my favourite things to myself.. My favourite books gather up dust on a shelf, destined in most cases never to be read again.. Today I'd like to share my latest read, the story of a shy, incredibly intelligent and not so popular teenage boy growing up.. A very touching read, highly recommended!

If you think you'd like to read it (and then pass it on if you wish), just leave a comment and I'll let a little hand draw a name on Friday.

What are you reading? I have nothing on the go, so any recommendations welcome!

My week #26

Playing in the park on one of those rare sunny days / loving Richard Scarry books / new teas - thank you A! / a voucher book and pedalboat trip for Fathers Day. We've also been late night barbecuing at the zoo, doing a little bit of sewing, teaching Y about the dangers of the road, shopping for wedding clothes and saying a kind of goodbye to our best friends..

Work in progress

I can't seem to get any sewing done these days.. In between end of year shows, playdates, looking for something to wear at my cousin's wedding in a couple of weeks time, avidly reading The perks of being a wallflower, sorting out through thousands of old photos, taking Y to the nursery school he'll be going to in September (yikes!!), this and that.. But.. my friends and I met up for our monthly craft night last night and we talked about having a stall at the school Christmas fair next December - I'm very excited! And maybe that was just the kick in the butt I needed to get making again..

First though, I have to finish this..
